    Great for treats

Kibbles are clean small pieces with very high quality ingredients. The dog likes them as treats. Rather expensive for a large dog as a main food item but as a treat is fine and much superior to typical wheat, corn and soy formulations. And is grain free which I’m not so sure is nutritionally optimum. My vet recommended against an all grain free diet for dogs since certain vitamins are lacking affecting heart health.

Good food, but get it somewhere else

This shipment of dog food got delayed almost a week so I had to go to a pet store and buy some to get us by till it arrived. When it came, it was shipped to USPS in a box as big as a coffin so there’s no way it’s gonna fit in my mailbox obviously. So we had to pick it up at the Post Office. Don’t go through all this trouble just order it from Chewy and they’ll send it next day and by FedEx. It’s great food our dogs love it. We like it because it’s human grade has good ingredients.

    Honest food for Dog

My dog ate at first without anything added. She likes small amounts of chicken shredded so with this added it was eaten. I was hoping not to have to add extra to it but that didn’t last but a couple of times. the bottom is bag had lots of crumbs instead of solid food.

    Bag smells horrendous!

I’ve been purchasing the Honest Kitchen beef and chicken for a couple years. I agree I throw away a good portion of powdered crumbs, but my dog likes the food. This last bag, smells so chemically I couldn’t get it off my clothes or hands. Had to get the bag out of the pantry. It isn’t the food, it’s the bag! And left a powdery feeling on my fingers. Afraid to give the dog the food! Anyone else have this issue?

While he should be on senior food he’s responding well to this change. He ate his previous food for most his life. He’s adapted without issue. Coat seems fluffier too which was not an expected outcome. Down about 4 lbs too.

In my Opinion the best Dogfood in the USA

I have BIG dogs. Rottweiler, Mastiff and AmStaff. The Rottweiler and the Mastiff are from my Home country in Europe and when i moved them to the US, they had tremendous issues with the food here. The AmStaff has Kidneystones issues and cant have normal food at all. He needed Royal Canin Dog food that reduces the Purin in his food.I went through all different kind of Brands and ended up with Orijen and Acana. And even with those two, my Mastiff started reacting bad to. I started alot of research and realized that in the United States there is almost no Petfood that is human grade. That is completely different in Germany. The dogfood there has to be human grade. So is started cooking for my dogs. I went to goodwill, got me an old Ricecooker and started feeding them different grains, pure chicken, pure fish and a whole bunch of veggies. Thats ALOT of work as you can imagine… so I finally found This brand. And i can tell you: it is a gamechanger. The food smells even for me DELICIOUS! All of my dogs love it. I still mix it with certain vegetables or with some Oats once in a while, but when I can’t cook for them, thats what they are getting. Their fur looks and feels amazing, they smell better, they lost a bit of weight in a positive way, their Poop is constantly good (i am a nurse…😁) and even for my Amstaff with special diatary needs thus is a good alternative once in a while. ( i do check his Urin with PH -sticks regularly though). I can also recommend the dehydrated version of the grainfree chicken. I sometimes mix it with grains or pasta since it is not a cheap food. But I can tell you : It is worth every Penny!

Dog and cats won’t eat it??

My dog won’t eat it, and the cats simply play with the pellets batting them around like a toy. Too expensive to notice use, or to donate to humane society.

FINALLY A FOOD THAT MY PUPPIES CAN EAT!!!!

I have two 8 month old mini aussiedoodles. I was determined to feed them quality food without using the kibble provided in stores. We started with Carna but its too pricey to keep up. We tried open farms, one doodle vomitted it up every time he tried it. While searching I watched a video by Dr. Marty and he went into a store and said he would feed his dogs this. So I said, “lets give this a try” and BOOOOOM success!!!!My two doodles love it and my 13 year old yorkie loves it too!!!! I love the varieties, the price is decent and the options are endless. I love that there are all natural sources in the food and treats because we refuse to feed them anything less!!!!

    I love this product BUT

It seems to be getting more and more expensive. It would seem that I shouldn’t be able to cook “human grade” food for my dog at a third of the price per pound, and yet, that’s exactly true. Time to find a high quality kibble that doesn’t break the bank. Sad but true.

My dog ignores it unless mixed with vegetables and some homemade extra sauce.

I am a vegetarian and I was looking for a food with chicken for my dog, though I don’t want to handle dead flesh. If I don’t add extra vegies and homemade sauce my dog will completely ignore the food. I guess dogs like to eat real food. Difficult to find a real good brand. Price jumped from $20 in October 2024 to $29 in November! I’ll try another quality brand for a better price.

    Awesome food

My 2 Shih tzus are 12-years old and both are experiencing allergy issues. I’ve eliminated dry dog foods containing grains, corn, glutens and meals as their top ingredients. They live this food. I just wish the beef flavor was available in small bites for small breeds.

    Picky Eater approved

As a dog trainer I go through A TON or treats and see many types of dog foods. My dog eats food we prepare for her, mostly because of her allergies but also because she’s probably the pickiest dog I’ve ever known. We are about to be traveling in a couple months and I needed to find a kibble that she would eat while being transported since they will not accept premade food.I opened the bag and offered her a piece, as I’ve done with many other bags of kibble. Not only did she immediately gobble it up, she also followed me around while I was trying to find place to store it. We’ve been feeding it to her, some dry and some with her normal premade meals for about 5 days now and she’s STILL excited to eat it! I love this brand but was always hesitant to buy the food since she’s so picky and I hate wasting (not to mention it’s a touch expensive). We may have found our new kibble base! Thank goodness!

    Pretty good stuff

My dog liked it at first and the. Later he won’t eat it unless I mix other types of food into it. It’s a good product, it might just be a bit lacking flavor, or it could be pretty heavy on his digestion due to oats.

    Wow!

So I have 3 fur babies. One of them is super picky. I feed them a combination of freeze dried, dehydrated mixed with bone broth (homemade), add fresh veggies, fresh fruit and other protein (homemade). But I wanted to try to add something else to the freeze dried that isn’t kibble but also healthy and crunchy (as they all love the crunches). I came across this product while researching and thought of giving it a try. Honestly, I am glad that I did! I literally received the bag yesterday and it’s already gone lol (I had ordered a small bag to try). They loved it! They kept asking for more. Therefore, I ordered another one today and plan on subscribing too. I had no issues with this product at all. I didn’t see many crumbs like many other people complained about. The value seems great. It smells pretty good and seems fresh and not stale at all. The texture is crunchy but yet easy to chew on (two of my dogs have lost a few teeth as they are older). I am happy with my purchase and highly recommend it! I am always searching for ways to keep my fur babies healthy and provide them with the best food possible to their diet. So this one hit the spot for them!

    Great nutrition for my pups!

This is everything I have been looking for in my pups’ food. I tried making my pups’ food myself with human grade beef, vegetables and fruits. I tried Just Food for Dogs. I tried raw food, but my pups wanted the crunch of kibble, they could care less how nutritious it was for them until…we found this product. Now they eat every day, and I don’t have to feed them. They eat on their own like dogs are supposed to. This food has all the nutrients my homemade food, Just Food for Dogs and The Farmer’s Dog has, plus the crunch of Kibble, as it is dehydrated.

    Quality of ingredients

I have researched a lot of dog foods due to our dog having so many allergies. This is the cleanest dog food for the price I can find. Our dog has no reaction to it and loves the taste and we feel good about giving the best ingredients and nutrition without breaking the bank. I will say some of the reviews have issues with crumbs on the bottom of the bag and yes you will find that but I think that this dog food is not harshly processed like you find on the shelves at grocery stores (less processing = better for your dog) so I think that might have a roll in it but hey I put the crumbs in her bowl as a topper to some of the fresh food we mix in as well as a snack later in the day and she loves it.

Best food quality for my dogs.

For the first time I finally found the food that all of my 7 dogs love. There was always one or two who didn’t like a certain food. I tried so many and they either had allergic reactions, stinky poops etc. But this food is perfect. My dogs basically “inhale it”. Their stool is good, no more itching or scratching. I noticed also no more ear infections. Good value for the price. They love the Turkey and the beef. I use the food also for the Furbo cam, as treats. This is the food I will stick with.

    Pros cons

I use honest kitchen food and decided to try this for it’s convenient feature .The dog likes it but delivery of even one small bag has proven to us we can’t get a usable product always. This 2nd bag was mailed in a bag not box it was totally crushed and shoved in mailbox. With the quality of the food being good this product should be honored with the proper shipping. It needs protection and placed in a packed nicely box and handled with care .This is not kibble hard throw about food ,it’s light airy and fragile and perfect for low chewers and dogs who suck down Food like a vacuum because it will break down easily for the dog. So buyer beware it’s sent cheaply and not handled with any care. Therefore we can’t buy this until things change in shipping. It’s unusable once it’s form is gone causing powder.

    Came a 1/4 PULVERIZED

My dog likes this food. He’s very picky and I keep rotating. This bag is pretty expensive and a quarter of the bag came completely pulverized. Just crumbs. These little biscuits are really firm, so this bag had to be thrown around for days. Not sure but hope it doesn’t happen next order. They are quite large nuggets, whole nutrition, and it has no bad orders. It smells like nothing. Firm hard nuggets they need good teeth to chew. Unless it’s broken down like mine came. I’m always happy to find dog food made with human grade ingredients and facility.

    Bad for allergies

Ive been feeding my boys this for about 3 weeks. I am honestly really disappointed because I felt relieved when I had found this dog food. My older girl was diagnosed with cancer in September and since then, i have done a lot of research on kibble and dog food ingredients. I worked as a vet tech for a few years prior to this and had been feeding all my dogs the vet approved prescription/ “high end” kibble. After her diagnosis i put her on a very specific cancer diet from Dr. Harvey’s dehydrated, mcdowells herbs, home cooked protein, and all the elixers and mushroom powders i could find. I have 2 younger boys who are healthy but wanted to ween them off kibble as well. Cooking home meals and buying high end organic meat for all 3 of them just proved to be unsustainable and overwhelming, i wanted to find a better solution. My middle child, ziggy is a pittie with chicken and grain allergies and my youngest, monty is a frenchie mutt with no allergies (that i knew of). Ziggy was eating purina brand sensitive skin and stomach. Even though his skin and coat and overall health seemed very good, I really wanted to find more holistic/natural/balanced food for them. I thought this was my solution, but ziggy’s allergies have gotten worse than I have ever seen. He is getting sores around his mouth and hives on his tummy. My first thought was that he might also be allergic to beef as a protein. (Which still might be true) However, monty who has never had allergies has become increasingly itchy and i noticed cracked and yeasty sores around his mouth as well! I’m going to get an allergy panel done but I do have to say that I most likely won’t continue to buy this food. Based off how they both reacted, i am concerned. It was a very gradual ween from their old food and I also added anything new into their diets individually so I could take note of what caused any changes or problems. If I continue using honest kitchen I will most likely switch to the turkey or try the fish dehydrated and see how they react to that. But I’m skeptical off the whole industry now.

    Excellent quality

This dog food does not cause my Australian cattle dog allergies and she was given up to me because of being sick. Like I’m sure they can’t tell you it cures things but, basically yeah. Definitely if somehow the internet connected you to this random comment, buy it for your dog. My dog is 9 she looks 3. It reverse aged her. It’s that high quality. Unless you can afford freeze dried waygu, this is the food your dog wants.

Too Expensive to be so full of Crumbs…

I came across the Honest Kitchen dog food searching for the perfect food that my Finicky Jack Russell would like and eat. I must say it is the only food thus far that he will not just let sit all day without eating and I’ve tried many in his 2yrs of life. I have been feeding him this brand for about a year now. Although I think the food is a bit expensive ,especially for just a 5lb bag I continue to buy it because I feel like l found a brand of food that he consistently likes. I am happy because my Bambilikes the food but I could not give a 5 star rating because of the fact that the bag of food is filled with lots of crumbs in every bag ,at least a cup of crumbs in every bag that I have received.Too expensive for that! See if you can find a solution to this issue.Respectfully ,YS

If I had just read the ingredients first…

Attempted twice to gradually transition my two small dogs over a period of several weeks each time onto the kibble. I wish I’d read the full ingredients. I saw the highlighted ingredients with the pictures–meat, oils, fruits, vegies. I now notice they don’t show pictures of potatoes, peas and lentils. After the second time, and thinking it was going ok, I caught one of them eating the dirt from my potted plant for the first time since I adopted her six years ago. Maybe coincidence. The dogs have been on a raw, commercially prepared dog food diet for two years. But I can’t leave them at a kennel to go on vacation on that diet. It needs to be a dry food, unless I want super-charges for “medicating” them and having their food stored in a freezer.Actually read the ingredients this morning. Since when are potatoes, peas and lentils (which together — do they constitute more bulk than the meat????) an evolutionarily suitable food for canines? Why would this food need “beef flavor?” If beef were the main ingredient (it’s listed first, but that doesn’t mean it’s mostly beef), why would they need beef flavoring?Too late to return. Will donate to a homeless program.

The only dog food he likes

My dog normally gets fresh food. When I’m too busy to make his food he’ll eat this. Won’t eat other dog food .

Our 16+ year old Harlo loves the grain free beef clusters. She has gotten finicky and happy to have found a healthy grain free cluster that she gobbles up!

    Amazing

Probably the best food we’ve ever given our dogs. They’re so much happier and healthier. I wish it wasn’t so expensive for how many crumbs are usually on the bottom but hey what can you do. I’d rather my dogs be healthy.

    Like the idea.

But low, my dog did not like it. Can’t just keep throwing away left overs. Seems like a great idea but it is not my call.
